Carved in Stone | Ten Commandments Bible Study Series
Watch the Opening Message
To properly study the Ten Commandments, we must be willing to take a hard look at ourselves… and be prepared to be honest with the person we see in the mirror.
We also need to gain knowledge about how we should see ourselves from God’s perspective in order to gain wisdom and understanding about living life God’s way.
In this message we look at foundational elements like:
- How did God give the people of Israel the Ten Commandments?
- What was Israel’s response after receiving them from Moses?
- What were God’s two purposes for giving the 10 Commandments and why they are relevant to us today?
Mark Rooker wrote, “The influence of the Ten Commandments on the Western world is beyond doubt. No other document has had such a great influence on Western culture.”
This will be an exciting and challenging study as we explore the Ten Commandments, and we hope you choose to join us for this journey.

Abiding in Christ Bible Study Series
Watch the Opening Message
If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples. As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love. These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. – John 15 verses 7-11
In this Bible study message series on Abiding in Christ our emphasis goes beyond just what we are called to do as we focus also on what we believe. And our hope and prayer for everyone is that the Holy Spirit moves you to surrender some our unwittingly erred, closely held beliefs (whatever He puts His finger on) and exchange them for what He says to be true.

Satan’s Playbook Uncovered | Bible Study Series
Watch the Opening Message
Throughout the history of man, as revealed in the Bible and demonstrated in our lives, Satan has repetitive, cunning, effective schemes that he uses over and over. He repeats them because thru time, as he primes, they work, and they corrupt men from pure and undivided devotion to Christ.
Cunning, deceptive, a force of evil, a tempter, accuser, liar, father of lies, wicked, proud, filled with violence, a thief, roaming, prowling, and devouring. These are a sampling of words chosen to describe Satan in the Bible. That’s who we are up against on a daily basis. And the stakes are certainly high with eternity hanging in the balance! Satan wants to rob us of our joy and destroys the relationships we cherish, especially the one that matters most… our relationship with Jesus!
Our goal in this 7-part series is to open up and uncover several key strategies and schemes in Satan’s playbook so we know what to expect and ensure finish well.

Serving One Another – 1 Peter 4 | 59 Series Bible Study
It’s easier in many ways to think about serving God, than it is to think about serve one another. God is high and mighty and obviously superior in every way. But serving one another, that is an entirely different story.
Why? Because it may involve serving someone, we consider an equal, or someone who is different, or someone we may not understand, or perhaps we view as our lesser in some respects.
Particularly challenging is the Greek word which translates as serve. Douleuo. It means “to be a slave to.”
So, serving one another means being a slave to one another, it involves an emptying of self, using our personal gifting in yielding to the needs of one another in love. And if this day and age this is counter intuitive to everything society teaches and values.
Life of Moses Bible Study: How to Make God Mad – Exodus 3 & 4
Does God get mad?
Jesus certainly did when He was facing His ultimate purpose and cleansed the temple in Matthew 21.
We pick up our study of the Life of Moses in Exodus 3 & 4, and see that Moses did in fact make God mad. But it was not Moses’ actions which made God mad, rather it was his inaction and excuses.
In this message we examine the five excuses Moses gave God as to why he could not do what God was calling him to do.
As you watch this message ask yourself, “do any of these excuses sound familiar to you?
Our focus for this message is to learn from Moses and so we avoid offering up excuses when God has an assignment for us to do. Because when it comes to obeying God… we have no room for excuses!
Life of Moses Bible Study: Can You Hear the Voice of God – Exodus 3:1-10
Have you ever had an encounter with God?
Moses had such an encounter. It is one of the most famous encounters in the Scriptures, it’s when Moses meets God at the burning bush.
At this point in Moses’ life he is 80 years old. He spent the first 40 years of his life as a member of the royal family in Egypt. Then he spends the next 40 years shepherding sheep on the backside of the desert. That’s about as far away from royalty as you can get.
In this message on Hearing the Voice of God we look at that day when God spoke to Moses, after those 40 years of silence, through a burning bush. We focus our attention on Exodus 3 and dissect verses 1 through 10 to learn how to hear and discern, the voice of God. From this scripture, Hutch Matteson will point out several key truths about hearing God’s voice.
59 One Another Bible Study: Forgive One Another – Ephesians 4:32
One Thing we all have in common, …every one of us, is that we have been hurt by someone. Things that have happened in our lives that we not fair.
So, what do we do with that?
We’re told to help each other bear that, and then God’s expectation is that in gratitude and reflective of His grace and forgiveness toward us, we in turn forgive others. But truth be told that is easier said than done.
Watch Forgive One Another, the next message in our 59-Series on Jesus’ life changing directives about how we are supposed to interact with “one another.”

Life of Moses Bible Study: God and My Failures – Exodus 2:11-25
What do you do if that failure was in the area you knew for certain was God’s assignment for you?
How would you go on?
In this message, we look for answers in the Book of Exodus, where we explore the life of Moses to learn a lesson or two on how God helps us deal with assignment failure.
Truth is, there has never been a perfect person to walk the face of the earth apart from the Lord Jesus. That being said, we have all failed.
So, why do we fail and how do we fix it?
Our goal for this message is to get a better understanding to the answers of both of those questions.

59 One Another Bible Study: Encourage One Another – 1 Thessalonians 5
Encouragement involves giving confidence, support, and hope to someone. Discouragement involves causing someone to lose enthusiasm, confidence, and hope. And for those of use who are followers of Jesus, we are directed to encourage others. Our goal for this message is to capture the core of how we can encourage one another daily, even more so as we navigate these mind-boggling times.

Our goal is to provide a well-rounded, truth grounded, quality, energetic, meaningful experience for everyone who watches and every group that meets to discuss the message we share.
In the Old Testament, Hutch Matteson leads us through a Bible study of Moses – Man on a Mission. The life of Moses, his ups and downs, his leadership acumen, his relationship with God, present us with some wonderful opportunities to learn and grow in our journey of faith.
Ron Dunn explores the new paradigm on living Jesus introduced through the 59 “One Another” directives given to us in the New Testament. We’ve grouped the fifty nine one another’s into themes which will be broken down into 7 stand-alone messages in the 59 One Another series. And these directives serve as a playbook to help us live life with an eternal perspective regardless of what is going on in the world.
The applications and life lessons for each of us will be many. Each week will stand on its own, but also fit into a flow as we move through the fall.
Our prayer for each of these messages is that the Holy Spirit will work as only He can …and stir the hearts of everyone who hears this truth!

- Wow! What it be like to have that said of you?
- What would it be like to have that on your tombstone as your epitaph?

Bible Study: The Pursuit of Excellence – King David message series – As we continue in our Bible study of King David, we see David now near the end of his life longing to build a magnificent Temple for God. God, however, says to David, “You are a man of war, and there is much blood shed in your past. You will not be the one to build Me a Temple, but your son Solomon will!”
If you were building the God of all creation a Temple — How would you do it?
- Would you cut corners, skimp on the quality of the materials, and find the cheapest labor available?
- Or would you go all out and give it your absolute best?
As followers of Jesus Christ, the pursuit of excellence for us as men of God is non-negotiable and we explore this truth in this Bible study message.

Bible Study: Abiding in Christ – Living Life with Purpose message series – “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” James 15 verse 5 During Jesus’ final week and final hours with the disciples before His arrest, Jesus underscored the importance of fruitfulness.
In the final message in our Bible study series on Living Life with a Purpose series we examine fruit and roots and allow Jesus’ perspective to speak into our priorities, time, attention, and daily life.
